Miles Heizer’s place of birth is in Kentucky, Greenville, her mother was a nurse and he had an older sister. When he was ten, the family moved to Los Angles where he started to play.  His acting Debut was in CSI: Miami which was under the name of Nothing To Lose and he was playing the role of Joey Everton. He starred again in short film called Paramedic where he played Young James.  He was a guest star for Private Practice, Bones, Shark and Ghost Whisperer.

Heizer played Davey Danner role in 2007, when he was 12 years old in a film called Rails and Ties. For this role he was nominated for Young Artist Award for Best Leading Young Actor for feature film.  Within the same year, he got a recurring role like Joshua Lipnicki for the NBC medical drama television series called ER. In the year 2010, he was the cast for Drew Holt, and a son to the character of Lauren Graham. This was for Parenthood, an NBC drama series. Heizer played Drew from the start to the end of the series in 2015

In the year 2013, Heizer was a co-star called Josh, playing in a Rudderless. In 2015, he played in a supporting role of Marshall Lovett in a drama thriller film called Stanford Prison Experiment. It premiered in Sundance Film Festival of 2015.

In the year 2014, Miles Heizer got the notoriety like a goth icon when his Instagram page became popular. He had cited steampunk movement with the movie called The Grudge 2 to be his main inspiration which is found behind his signature aesthetic.

His role as Rails and Ties was emotional and unusual demanding for him as child star. The movie was a psychological Drama by Alison Eastwood. In this film, Heizer was playing like Davey Danner, who was a boy whose life fell into the pieces and it even became irreparable when his mother died. Her mother parked a car on train tracks to end her life and she had to wait until a next locomotive come to hit her.
