Monica Barbaro is an American actress and dancer, born on June 18, 1990, in San Francisco, California. She grew up with an older brother and sister and developed a strong interest in ballet during her childhood.

She pursued her passion for dance at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance. During her time at NYU, Barbaro also began taking acting classes, eventually shifting her focus from ballet to acting. She received further training at various acting schools in San Francisco and Los Angeles, including the Beverly Hills Playhouse.

Transition to Acting

Monica Barbaro made her on-screen debut in the viral short film It’s Not About the Nail, which gained widespread attention for its humorous take on communication in relationships. In 2012, she appeared in the HBO television film Hemingway & Gellhorn and the indie film Touchdown.
