During her years in high school, Monica Raymund started to participate in the Broadway Theater Project (Tampa, Florida) and she attended North Carolina School of the Arts (Winston-Salem, North Carolina). Then in 2004, she graduated from private college preparatory day school “Shorecrest Preparatory School” and in 2008 a prestigious New York City school “Juilliard School”. At the Juilliard School Monica played in Cymbeline, The Diviners, Animal Farm. Her first steps in her career as an actress, Monica Raymund made in April 2008 when she participated in NBC crime drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit as Trini Martinez. Her contribution to this series was quite small since she acted only in 17 episode of 9 season with a title “Authority”. However, this tiny role allowed her to get invitations to more serious projects.

Her next and the most famous role was Maria "Ria" Torres natural lie detector in police drama series “Lie To Me”. After “Lie To Me” without much rest, Monica joined to legal drama The Good Wife aired on CBC. She started her playing from third season in the role of Dana Lodge from 2011 to 2012 and coped with it very well. Then she received an invitation from NBC to play Gabriela Dawson – one of main characters of action drama Chicago Fire. In total, Monica Raymund participated in more than 10 movies and TV shows.
