Morgan Ortagus is an American Foreign Policy and National Security Analyst who was born in 1983 to her parents Denise C. and Ronald E. Ortagus. Her full name is Morgan Deann Ortagus and she grew up in Polk County, Florida. In 2005, Ortagus graduated from Florida Southern College with a B.S. in Political Science. She went on to attend John Hopkins University in 2009 and graduated with a Masters of Administration. In 2013, Ortagus continued her education at Carey Business School where she completed a Masters of Business Administration. She gained experience in the political field helping with the campaigns of hopeful politicians Katherine Harris and KT MacFarlands. She also worked within the US Treasury before she enlisted in the US Navy Reserve in 2014. Ortagus holds a directorship at Standard Chartered Bank as well as an Executive Directorship for Ernst and Young.
She is also a co-chair of the lobby group Maverick PACS in Washington. Ortagus also holds board positions for both the Elizabeth Dole Foundation and Friends of American University of Afghanistan. She is also a regular contributor to Fox News. In May of 2013, She married Jonathan Ross Weinberger in Georgetown but the couple currently has no children.
