Mos Def is an actor and rapper from Brooklyn, New York. He is famous for his performance in Monster’s Ball. He was born on 11 December 1973 and is the eldest son in his family. He started his career in 1994 as a rapper for short lived rap group Urban Thermodynamics. At the age of 14, he also worked as a child artist in one of the television show, under the name of the Dante Beze. After that, he appeared in several movies.
He was raised by his mother in Brooklyn while his father lived in New York. He is the eldest son among the 12 children. His family was facing many traumatic conditions like violence, addiction and crime. As far as concerned with his personal life, he had many girlfriends and six children with four different ladies. First, he got married with Maria Yepes in 1996 and had two daughters with her. Without giving divorce to her, he married to Alana Wyatt in Canada. She was a model in his music video album.
