Julianne Hough, a professional ballroom dancer, singer and actor, was born on the 20th of July 1988 at Orem, Utah, in the United States. She is the youngest of her four siblings Derek, Marabeth, Katherine and Sharee Hough and her parents are Marie Anne and Bruce Robert Hough. She is fondly remembered by many as Jules, her nick name. The family lived in Salt Lake City and Jules’ father was twice the chairman of the Republican Party of Itah. Her parents later divorced and Julianne had an additional 9 step siblings from the second marriages of her parents.
Her mother was very instrumental and eager that Jules’ earns a great career in entertainment and she enrolled Jules and her siblings in different performing classes while they were still young. At the age of 10, she and Derek Hough her brother, travelled to London to study ballroom dancing under the coaching of famous coaches Shirley and Corky Ballas. Along with the coach’s son and her brother she took part in the dance competition ‘2B1G’ (2 boys, 1 girl) in the US and UK. She won International Latin Youth and the Junior World Latin Championship conducted at the Blackpool Dance Festival.
After her parents had divorced, she had short stays with each of them in Las Vegas and Los Angeles where she started her entertainment career. Her first job was in 2006 with the ABC game show titled ‘Show me the Money.’ From then on she made good progress in her dancing career. She also earned fame as a country singer and in 2008 her debut album was released which got recognized as #1 on the charts of the Billboard Country Album and #3 on the charts of the Billboard 200.
She was 13 when she got her first acting role in ‘Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone’ in 2001. Then, in 2011, Julianne played the lead role in the Footloose, the remake. Dolly Parton was one of Julianne’s idols. Besides singing and acting, she also is involved actively in humanitarian efforts and does a lot of charity. She is involved with the Clothes Off Our Back, Susan G. Komen Foundation and St. Jude’s Children Hospital. She also is serving the American Red Cross Cabinet.
With such charitable and religious involvements, nothing much can be said about Jules’ sex life. She was engaged in 2006 to Zack Wilson, but they soon split and she dated boyfriends Kevin Connolly an actor and Chuck Wicks a singer during 2008-2009, but she married none of these. Subsequently, she found interest in Ryan Seacrest and was dating him from June 2010 to March 2013.
She is presently linked romantically with her current boyfriend Brooks Laich a NHL player. Marriage is yet to be as Jules has not found the right partner who she can share the rest of her life with. May be some time in the future, if a marriage takes place, there may or may not be a divorce in her life, depending on the man she chooses.
