During a brief period between pregnancies, Nancy appeared in an episode of The Older Woman, a retitled series initially known as Different Socks, in 1982. That same year, she gave birth to her daughter, Carly Ritter, on March 1. Carly graduated from Vassar College in 2005 and launched a music career, releasing a self-titled debut album produced by Joachim Cooder and Juliette Commagere.
Her youngest child, Tyler Ritter, was born on January 31, 1985. Following in his family's footsteps, he earned a degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2007 and pursued a career in acting, like his parents and older brother.
After focusing on her family for several years, Morgan returned to television in 1986, appearing in the series Hooperman. She later starred in The Dreamer of Oz: The L. Frank Baum Story (1990) and had roles in the live-action film and series adaptation of Lucky Luke in 1991. In 1992, she appeared in the British medical drama Heartbeat.
Nancy and John Ritter divorced in 1996. John later passed away on September 11, 2003, from an aortic dissection—a tragic loss for the entertainment world.
Nancy Morgan continued acting into the 2010s, with recent roles including Jenny in the film Boston (2014) and an appearance in Worthy (2015).
