After working with Marc, she joined Mirabella where she was working like a market director and assistant stylist before she got a position of working with Elle. She got the role of working as a fashion director and afterwards she got the role of editor at large, her role was renewed from time to time. After spending 13 years with Elle she started to work for Marie Claire where she became Fashion editor in 2008. She is now in charge of the fashion coverage of the magazine and she oversees the fashion department. She is in charge of covering the fashion weeks of Paris, New York and Milan. She is considered to be an authority when it comes to fashion. She has been called to participate in many interviews. She was been promoted at Marie Claire and she was given the title of Creative Director. She worked as a judge of Project Runway from the day it started with Season one and she was the judge for Miss Universe of Mexico City of 2007.

She is author of four books. The little black book was the first book and it was translated into Spanish and Portuguese. Nina Garcia’s husband is called David Conrod. He is a managing partner and the co-founder for the G2 Investment Group. They live in Upper East Side of Manhattan where they bought a three- bedroom apartment. She has two children, one is a son born in the year 2007 and he is called Lucas Alexander Conrod and the second child is Alexander David Conrod and he was born in 2010. She gave birth to the second child when she was already 43 years old.
