His father, Arnold Schwarzenegger, is an Austrian-American actor, former professional bodybuilder, filmmaker, and politician who served two terms as the Governor of California. His mother, Maria Shriver, is an American journalist and author, and a member of the Kennedy family—her uncles include John F. Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy, and Ted Kennedy.
