Paul Edward Goldschmidt, popularly known as "Goldy," is an American professional baseball player born on September 10, 1987, in Wilmington, Delaware. Although born in Delaware, he was raised in Houston, Texas. From a young age, Goldschmidt exhibited a deep passion for sports and remained dedicated to his dream of becoming a professional athlete.
Goldschmidt attended The Woodlands High School in Texas, where he showcased exceptional talent as a baseball player. He later enrolled at Texas State University, where he continued his athletic career playing college baseball.
