From an early age, Pauley expressed a strong interest in animals and aspired to work in animal-related fields. At different points during her youth, she considered careers in music, dreaming of joining a rock band, and later even contemplated becoming an FBI agent. Eventually, these ambitions shifted, and she pursued a career in acting.
