Phil Morris was born in 1959 in Iowa, United States. He is the son of actor Greg Morris, best known for his role in the original “Mission: Impossible” television series, and Leona Morris. He has an older sister, Iona Morris, who is also an actress. Phil developed an early interest in acting, influenced in part by growing up around television sets due to his father’s career.

Early Acting Career and Star Trek Appearances
Phil Morris began his acting career as a child with a role in the 1966 “Star Trek” episode titled "Miri." The episode was filmed at Desilu Studios, the same location where “Mission: Impossible” was being shot, providing young Phil a natural entry into the world of acting. He later made his feature film debut with a small role in “Star Trek III: The Search for Spock” and went on to appear in other shows within the franchise, including "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" and "Star Trek: Voyager." He also guest-starred in the acclaimed science fiction series “Babylon 5.”
Breakthrough Roles: Seinfeld and Smallville
One of Phil Morris’s most recognized roles is Jackie Chiles, a fast-talking attorney inspired by real-life lawyer Johnnie Cochran, on the NBC sitcom “Seinfeld.” His portrayal became a memorable part of the show’s later seasons.
