Regina Hall was born on December 12, 1970 in Washington D.C. Her father, Odie Hall is an electrician and a contractor while her mother, Ruby is a teacher.
Regina loved going to school while growing up. She registered at Fordham University in the Bronx after she completed her high school studies. At Fordham, she majored in English. In 1992, she was awarded a bachelor’s degree. In 1997, she got a master’s degree in Journalism from New York University.
Regina Hall wanted to be a journalist but with the death of her father when she was still in school, it changed her drastically and she had to change the course of her life. She felt that the movie was not the same from the ones she has done and it was like 14 years since the first one was done. She considered the film now have that touch of the joy of a wedding compared to the previous one which is just people coming together for holidays. She made a joke about how the actresses in the film are not married but all the actors were married.
Regina starred with Kevin Hart in the movie “About Last Night” in 2014. She had a small role in the movie called “The Best Man” and she left a lasting impression on the viewer’s when she portrayed Candy’s character.
Hall’s mother was found to suffer scleroderma and now she is a volunteer at organizations to make people aware of the disease.
