Rich Eisen

Richard Eisen was born on June 24, 1969 in Brooklyn, New York. He spent his childhood in a fabulous borough of New York - Staten Island. There is no information about his parents or siblings on the internet. It is known, that he entered to University of Michigan, and studied art there. While he was a student of University of Michigan, he liked sport a lot. Especially Richard liked to comment sport events, so he subsequently became an editor of a daily student newspaper The Michigan Daily.

Richard Eisen was a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity in the University. In 1990 Eisen successfully graduated from University of Michigan, however, he did not stop his education. After that, he entered to Northwestern University, where he studied journalism at the Medill School of Journalism. After four years of studying journalism, Richard got a masters degree.

During his study at the Northwestern University, Richard Eisen worked at the local daily newspaper Staten Island Advance (1990–1993) and daily newspaper Chicago Tribune (1993 – 1994). All these jobs, along with his excellent education and dedication to sport, allowed him to join KRCR-TV. So, after graduation in 1994 he moved to Redding, California to work on KRCR-TV as a reporter and correspondent.

After two years at the KRCR-TV, Richard left this channel and moved to ESPN. Working on the ESPN, he showed himself as an easy going and funny anchor. Some time later, he hosted reality series Beg, Borrow & Deal, aired in ESPN from September 17, 2002 to August 20, 2003. Apart from Beg, Borrow & Deal, he was a host of The Tony Kornheiser Show and The Dan Patrick Show. All these shows commented sport events, interviewed sport stars and discussed other topics, related to sport.

Thanks to such a wide experience as a sport TV host, Richard Eisen was invited to NFL Network, where he has worked since 2003. He became a real star in sport TV shows. He was a host of a well-known show NFL Total Access. Up to 2010, Richard worked at this channel, developing his career. In 2010, his contract with NFL Network expired, but they did not want him to leave their channel, and they offered him the position of a host of several shows, including NFL GameDay Morning, NFL Total Access and NFL GameDay Highlights. Therefore, Richard stayed at NFL Network and has worked there until now.

Apart from his participations in movies and TV shows, Richard Eisen tried himself as a writer, writing books. On October 30, 2007, he published his book Total Access: A Journey to the Center of the NFL Universe, where he delved into a football life and described NFL from the inside.

As for the private life of Richard, he is a married man. He and his wife a reporter Suzy Shuster married in 2003. Since that time, they have lived together and have raised their children. Richard has three children: daughter and two sons.
