Rika Adachi (足立 梨花) was born on October 16, 1992, in Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan. She was raised in Mie Prefecture alongside her younger siblings. For her junior high education, she attended Konno Tachino Junior High School. Encouraged by her parents, she entered the 32nd Horipro Talent Scout Caravan, marking her early steps into the entertainment industry.
In 2008, Adachi enrolled at Hide High School in Meguro, Tokyo. While still in high school, she began gaining attention through commercials, most notably playing the role of an astronaut in the “Japan Space Boys’ Advertisement Captain” campaign in 2009. In 2010, she was appointed as a women's manager for League Mission Specialist events, and between 2011 and 2012, she continued to be active as a special ladies’ manager.
From 2008 to 2010, Adachi began appearing in films, including roles in “Ongakubito,” “Love Center” (as Rika), and “An Encyclopedia of Unconventional Women” (as Tamae). In 2011, she portrayed Tamaki in the film “Go! Boys' School Drama Club.” Her budding film career continued into 2013 with her role as Nao in the movie “Diamond.”
Adachi appeared in a series of film and television projects that expanded her audience reach. These include titles like “Tokyo Legends I: Horror of Human Hell,” “Goose Bumps The Movie 2,” “Kizudarake no Akuma,” and “Fantastic Girls.” In 2014, she landed the lead role in the television drama “Kinkyori Renai: Season Zero,” and in 2015, starred in “Yokoso, Wagaya e.” Her increasing popularity was rooted in both her talent and versatility as an actress.
