Robie Uniacke is a mathematical researcher and British businessman who is best known for being the long-time partner of the English actress Rosamund Pike.  Rosamund Pike played the prestigious title role in Gone Girl in 2014. The film was a critical and box-office success and Rosamund Pike earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress. Robie Uniacke was born in the United Kingdom in 1961 and received his education at Eton College in Windsor. Robie has been interested in mathematics since he was a child. Robie has had two previous marriages. His first marriage was to thirty year old Emma Howard, the daughter of the late Earl of Carlisle, whom he married in 1983, when he was just twenty two years old.

Although the couple had a child together the marriage did not last and both Robie and Emma underwent re-habilitation for heroin addiction. Robie’s second marriage was to interior designer Rose Batstone, with whom he had three children. Robie entered into a relationship with Rosamund Pike in 2009. She gave birth to their first son, named Solo, in May 2012. She gave birth to her second son, Atom, in December 2014. Robie Uniacke speaks fluent Mandarin and speaks to his current children almost exclusively in Chinese.
