Ronald Montague Moss was born on March 4, 1952 in Los Angeles, California. Ronn developed a great interest in music and arts since his childhood days. He was surrounded by guitars and drums, he started learning the art of music and instruments from the age of eleven. Along with the drums and guitar, he also trained in electric bass on his way to becoming a skilled musician.

Ronn Moss married Shari Shattuck in the year 1990 and the couple gave birth to two children. However, the couple started facing marriage problems and got divorced in 2002. Seven years later, Ronn decided to give marriage a second shot and tied the knot with Devin DeVasquez in 2009.

In 1976, Ronn Moss became comfortable after years of practicing on instruments and joined a band as a bassist. He formed a band called ‘Player’ with John Friesen on drums, J.C. Crowley on the keyboard, and Peter Beckett on guitar. Ronn joined as a singer and bassist. The band would end up inspiring a lot of young musicians. They rehearsed and wrote songs in an old garage which existed in Hollywood Hills. Their perseverance towards their craft and style amused a famous Australian producer named Robert Stigwood. The famous music man signed them into his management group RSO Records which helped them come up with a debut album.

The band achieved great positive responses from the music fans and critics of the US. In 1978, the band had its song “Baby Come Back” hit the top position of the charts in America. Billboard Magazine also honored them with the title of ‘Top New Singles Artist’ in the same year. Other songs such as “This Time I’m in it for Love”, “Mountain” and “That’s When I’ll Be Gone” also received numerous accolades.

Apart from his famous music career, Moss also appeared in a number of movies and TV shows. He made his debut film appearance in 1983 in an Italian movie called ‘Paladini-storia d'armi e d'amori’. The movie was based on the story of ‘Hearts and Armor’ and Moss portrayed the character of ‘Ruggero’, the lover of ‘Bradamante’. One of the most famous characters that Ronn has played is ‘Ridge Forrester’ in the soap opera TV show, ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ from 1987 to 2012. The show has won many awards and nominations and been a staple in the soap opera genre. Ronn also played an acclaimed theatrical role in ‘Hard Ticket to Hawaii’ and also competed in a dance show and won second with his partner, Sara Di Vaira.

In 2012, Moss was involved in an accident that left him struggling to memorize his lines, which was among the reasons he decided to leave The Bold and the Beautiful that year. He has since denied recurring rumors that he has had plastic surgery, attributing his appearance to a healthy lifestyle.
