Background

Rosemary Church was born on November 10. 1962, in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She was born into a financially and socially stable family. She grew up in London and later moved to Australia, where she attended college. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Arts from Canberra’s Australian National University. She also studied media and law when she graduated from Canberra University.

Marriage, Husband and Children

Rosemary Church got married to Patrick O’Byrne in 1995. He is a renowned person in the arena of health. O’Byrne is a professional registered nurse and also a professor at the University of Ottawa. He is a guest lecturer in different CIHR funded sessions.

Rosemary and her husband are blessed with three wonderful children. They have one daughter and two sons. The youngest son has taken qualities of his mother in his speaking qualities and has also had an interest in football. The eldest son is an athlete and their daughter is an exceptional pianist.

Career

Rosemary Church started her career as a media officer and speechwriter in 1984. She was a member of the Federal Parliament in Canberra. She then worked at the National Media Liaison Service at the Parliament House in Canberra for five long years. She also simultaneously worked as an anchor for the Channel Ten News Service, anchoring the weekend news shows.

Rosemary joined ABC TV, in the year 1991. She anchored the evening news bulletin in Tasmania State and also the summer edition of the Noon program at ABC TV World. She then moved on to Australia TV (ATV) as a senior anchor, filing stories for both the foreign correspondent program at ABC and ATV reporting from Asia. At ABC-TV, she primarily operated as senior Anchor for Australia Television at ABC-TV.
