In 2012, Ryan founded the Ryan Higa Production Company (RHPC), aimed at creating original digital content along with a collaborative team. As his popularity grew, so did his ambitions. In 2016, he co-founded a parody K-pop boy band named “Boys Generally Asian” (BgA) with Justin Chon, Jun Sung Ahn, Phillip Wang, and David Choi. The band gained attention both for its comedic appeal and for highlighting Asian-American representation in entertainment.

Ryan’s journey hasn’t been without setbacks. In 2008, some of his videos, including “How to Be Ninja,” “How to Be Gangster,” and “How to Be Emo,” were temporarily removed due to copyright violations. Fortunately, after adjustments and the acquisition of proper rights, these videos were reinstated in 2009.

Education and Other Ventures

After graduating high school, Ryan moved to Las Vegas to study nuclear medicine at the University of Nevada. While his educational pursuits initially took a different direction, his ongoing commitment to content creation became his full-time focus.

Though Ryan has not received major traditional entertainment awards, he is widely recognized as one of YouTube's early influencers and digital pioneers. His estimated net worth as of mid-2018 is approximately $2 million, primarily earned through YouTube monetization, sponsorships, and creative projects.

Personal Life

Ryan Higa has kept much of his personal life private. He was previously in a long-term relationship with Tarynn Nago, but they separated in 2010. Since then, Ryan has not publicly confirmed any other relationships. As of the most recent publicly available information, he remains single and has never been married.

Known for his humor and positive online presence, Ryan Higa continues to be an influential figure in the world of digital creator culture.
