The 12th day of April 1978 welcomed Sarah Elizabeth Walsh in to this world. She was born in Tampa Bay to father John Walsh who was quite a sports enthusiast. The name of her mother is not known to public. Sarah grew up in an atmosphere positive towards sports. Her father had quite a lot interest in watching sports on TV. As Sarah spent most of her time with her father thus developed keen interest in sports. She dreamt of being close to anything related to sports, hence following a profession related to sports was an obvious choice for her.
Sarah pursued he primary education from the Gulf High School situated in New Port Richey, Florida. During her school days she developed quite an attraction for the sports soccer and was mostly seen with her teammates on the soccer field. Next she went on to pursue her higher education from the University of Florida. Here also she was deeply involved with Soccer and played for her university’s team. She had played remarkable game for the University and had embarked records and points to her name.
A career in sports casting was an obvious choice for Walsh as she had sports running through her veins. Sarah started her career with the Beaches Leader Newspaper located in Jacksonville as a writer. The genre of her writing was sports and she loved it. She worked with full enthusiasm, slowly and gradually she climbed the stairs of success. She was then employed at the WPGA, Macon, Georgia as a Sports Director. Then things happened to her like jungle fire and she went on to work for Nashville based channel WKRN. Regional Emmy awards have had quite an affinity with this sportscaster and she went on to win four while working with the WKRN. Next, she was seen on the WUSA-TV located in Washington DC. There she appeared on the show ‘Monday Night Live’ along with host Jeff Fisher who was Titan’s Coach back then. She started working with all will and might, thus bring more recognition to her stature.
Walsh had spent some time as a Reporter for Redskins bear. Sarah a confident girl kept shifting jobs until she landed with a job of her choice with ESPN. It was in May 2010 when she started working for the channel, and hosted a line of programs including SportsNation and Fantasy Football Now. Her work in the show SportsCenter has been highly appreciated and loved.
Sarah Walsh married Matt Buschmann, her long time dating mate since the year 2012. Her husband is a sportsperson and plays pitcher in minor league baseball.
