The American drummer and songwriter is the co-founder of the two popular and successful bands of post 1990's; Creed and Alter Bridge. Nevertheless, Flip has also collaborated with three musicians from three different bands and formed hard rock band Projected.

Born on February 23, 1973, in Georgia, US, Scott got connected to music because of his musical family. Scott grew up listening to his dad's triplet buzz and his mom's piano and guitar tunes.

Scott was interested in drumming since his childhood, but because of his parent's heritage, he started playing piano when he was 3 and saxophone when he was 6. Later, Scott played both the instruments for his school marching band.

A self taught drummer, Scott finally started drumming at the age of 18 being inspired by drummers on MTV. Later, he joined his first band Crosscut.

Eventually, he went on to become one of the prominent rock drummers and an influential figure.

Creed, which is known for specializing in different genera such as post-grunge, alternative rock, hard rock and heavy metal,  is regarded as one of the most celebrated band of the post grunge movement of the late 1990's and early 200's. Creed, the 9th best selling artist of 2000's, has sold over 53 millions album worldwide, and 28 millions records in the United States.  The band is known for its hit albums such as My Own Prison (six times platinum certified, won the band the Rock Artist of the year 1998 Billboard Music Award), Human Clay (diamond  certified), My Sacrifice (six time platinum) and Full Circle.

Alter Bridge, a progressive and experimental band which is known for specializing in same genera as Creed, is known for its melodic style of post grunge influenced heavy metal music. The band is known for it's albums such as One Day Remains (gold certified, several song was affiliated in WWE), Blackbird (super critically acclaimed), ABI III (hit album) and Fortress (super critically acclaimed).

Now moving on to his physical configuration, his height can be speculated to be in the range of 5 feet and 6 inches to feet and 8 inches. The American national of white ethnicity is a dashing man, and has a fit body. No wonder, he is an experienced weightlifter who can bench press 185 lbs and deadlift 220 lbs.
