Due to her choice of modeling as her career, she was very much lagging in the studies. She cold not get goo grades as she had to invest lots of time in modeling leaving her with a ver less time for her studies. This created problems for her in the exams when she failed most of the times. She, however, did not break down in the difficult times and continued doing modeling and made a name for herself in the industry filled with a very tough competition.

At this point in time, she found interest in arts and so she joined The School of Creative and Performing Arts. There she learned all sorts of art forms from painting to dancing. She also took dancing lessons from a private tutor and excelled at it. She continued her modeling career through all this but at one point she decided to get a bachelor's degree in arts and so she went and enrolled herself in the American University of Paris to get her bachelor's of arts degree. For these years she stopped modeling altogether and concentrated on just her studies.

Her colleges went very well and she learned a lot of stuff in completing her degree but now was the time to choose between art and being an actress and she chose acting. This marked the start of her acting career. At first, she got roles in small feature films and tv shows but later she got some bigger roles as well. She married Lorenzo Lamas in 1996 who is a famous actor himself. Their relationship, however, didn't last long and so they decided to get a divorce. She birthed her first child which was a baby girl on 22nd December 1997. She divorced her first husband on 8th December 2002 after 8 years of marriage. She got 3 children from her first marriage.

She later married Romain Chavent 4 December 2006 after many years of dating. This marriage was also not successful and they had to go through the divorce again. She divorced her second husband on 21 December 2008. After years of being single, she married Laurent Homburger in 2011 ending the media speculation about their relationship. The couple has been living a very happy life in New york with no signs of any problem.
