People Mentioned in This Biography

Lorenzo began his acting career with a supporting role in the 1978 hit musical film Grease, launching what would become a prominent presence on television throughout the 1980s and 1990s.

Television Success: ‘Falcon Crest’ and ‘Renegade’

Lamas is best known for his role as Lance Cumson in the long-running prime-time soap opera Falcon Crest (1981–1990). He played a charismatic heir and playboy involved in the complex rivalries within the Gioberti and Channing families of California's wine industry. He gained a large following for the role, which solidified his heartthrob status during the 1980s.

His second major television role came with Renegade (1992–1997), where he portrayed Reno Raines, a former police officer turned bounty hunter. The action-adventure show, created by Stephen J. Cannell, became a syndication hit and further established Lamas' image as a rugged action star.

Later Roles and Reality Television

From 2004 to 2006, Lamas portrayed Hector Ramirez in the globally popular soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful, centered around the Forrester family and their fashion empire, Forrester Creations. Earlier, in 2003, he was also featured as a panelist on the reality show Are You Hot?, which judged contestants solely based on physical appearance.

In 2009, Lamas starred in his own E! reality show, Leave It to Lamas, which followed his personal and family life. He later competed on Celebrity Apprentice in early 2015 and appeared in Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! the same year.
