Lamas has been married multiple times. He was married to his fifth wife, Shawna Craig, whom he wed on April 30, 2011; they separated in 2016 and later divorced. In October 2023, he married his sixth wife, Kenna Scott. Notably, Lamas is 29 years older than Craig, who is also known for her work as a model and as a cast member on the E! reality series Second Wives Club. Interestingly, Craig acted as the surrogate mother for Lyon Lamas-Richie—the son of Lamas' daughter, Shayne Lamas, and her husband, Nik Richie.

Lamas' previous relationships include marriages to Victoria Hilbert (1981–1982), Michele Smith (1983–1985), Kathleen Kinmont (1989–1993), and Shauna Sand (1996–2002). He was also briefly engaged to Barbara Moore in 2004 and dated actress Daphne Ashbrook between 1987 and 1988.
