Film Opportunities and Role Selection
Pegg turned down the opportunity to audition for the role of Rorschach in the 2009 film adaptation of Watchmen. He also declined a role in Dog Soldiers, a 2002 horror film, to focus on Shaun of the Dead at the request of Edgar Wright. Beyond comedy, Pegg has taken roles in major franchises such as Star Trek, where he portrays Montgomery "Scotty" Scott, and Mission: Impossible, in which he plays Benji Dunn.
