Siohvaughn Funches is a law student and a book author. She is famous for her book, Love of Money. Most importantly, her biography is famous as the ex-wife of basketball player, Dwyane Wade.
Personal life
Siohvaughn and Dwyane were childhood friends. Dwyane’s father was very strict and his mother was a drug addict. This drove him out of his house and he spent a lot of time in her house with her parents when he was young. They started dating when they were just 15 years old. She describes her husband as shy and introvert. He did not have a lot of people around him. She once shoplifted sport shoes for him. In 2002, she got married to him and they moved to Chicago. Things got upside down when he was awarded a three year contract and millions of dollars, in hand.
Things started to sore in the marriage. He started to stay away most of the nights. Siohvaughn used to get mysterious phone calls from women who brag about their time with her husband. Later, they had their second son to bring magic to the marriage but it failed. She applied for divorce in 2007 and they split in 2010 with five million dollar settlement.
Dwyane got married again to Gabrielle Union. He met Union in 2007. She is almost a decade elder to him. Siohvaughn blames his current wife as the reason for their separation. There is no concrete proof for the same. But, she had sued the actress Union for breaking her marriage. Siohvaughn again filed a case for negotiation on the settlement and the custody of her sons in 2015. She mentioned that she had several proofs that he was physically abusing her children yet, the court gave full custody of her sons to him and also restricted her from seeing her sons for a month so that they would get well settled with their father.
She now lives with her mother in Chicago. She wrote a book about how her marriage fell because of money and fame and also about physical abuse that she underwent when she was pregnant with her second child. Initially she refused to give away her sons and this led to kidnap charges. There are assault charges against her for attacking his lawyer. Dwyane dropped all those charges.
She is not known to be dating anyone as of now. She is not seen with anyone in public who could be assumed to be her boyfriend. No man has come out to media that he is her girlfriend. She does not talk about her future romantic plans. She is more focused on her studies and also with the custody battle.
Career
She is currently taking up law courses. She had mentioned that she is a public speaker in her book. Her career growth in that front is not known to media. There are no details to whether she worked before Dwyane got into NBA. Her career goals and milestones are also not known till date. It is assumed that she is paying her bills with the spouse support payment which she mentioned in an interview to be very small when compared to millions of dollars that he is earning per month.
