Soledad O Brien

Soledad O Brien’s full name is Maria De La Soledad Teresa O’Brien and was born in 1966. She is a philanthropist, executive producer and a broadcast journalist of American nationality.  She is chairman for Starfish Media Group. O’Brien is a television anchor an also a correspondent of HBO and CNN and for the Real Sports program. She is also a correspondent for America Tonight for Al Jazeera America.  She has a large number of the lists of the people who are working with her for her Starfish Media Group.  Soledad O Brien is also executive producer and also a moderator of National Geographic Bee and he replaced Alex Trebek who had moderated it for over 25 years.  Besides the pedigree she has in Journalism and production, she has been named as the Distinguished Visiting Fellow from Harvard Graduate School of Education and she was appointed on a board of direction of Foundation of The National Archives of Washington DC.  She worked as an anchor of the CNN morning news program called Starting Points and it premiered on 2012. She ended this role to start working at Starfish Media Company.

The parents of Soledad O Brien are both immigrants and they met when they were at Johns Hopkins University in Maryland. His father was an Australian and her mother was a Cuban. The two always went to daily mass in a church that was found near the campus. The father would give the ride to his mother but she always refused until she said yes one day and in a year they were already married. Her mother is of Afro-Cuban ethnicity. She is a fifth in six children that the couple had and they all graduated from Harvard University.

As reported in her biography, when her parents were getting married, the interracial marriages were not allowed in Maryland so they went to get married in Washington DC. Many people assume that she speaks Spanish but it is not the case. She is married to Bradley Raymond and her husband is co-head for investment banking Stifel. They have two daughters together with twin sons.

Soledad O Brien is a talented person and she has been able to interview many personalities. She began her career at WBZ-TV and afterwards moved to NBC. She got success and praise in whatever she was doing. Her average salary is around 20,000 every month and her net worth is over 3 million dollars.
