Stipe Miocic is known as an American professional mixed martial artist. He is most famous for fighting for the Ultimate Fighting Championship and is the current UFC Heavyweight Champion.
Stipe Miocic was born on August 19, 1982 in Euclid, Ohio. Stipe Miocic was born to his folks, Kathy and Bojan Miocic. His folks were two settlers from Croatia, his mom from Cetingrad and his father from Rtina. While going to Eastlake North High School, Miocic played a large group of various games including baseball, football, and wrestling. When college swung around, Miocic was going to Cleveland State University and studied Marketing and Communications. He would later exchange to the Trevecca Nazarene University where he graduated with a degree in communications.
During his time in college, he was the objective of a few Major League Baseball crews. He hit .344 with seven homers in his senior year while he helped his group, the Trojans win the 2005 TranSouth Atlantic Conference. He graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University.
While preparing both in wrestling and baseball, Miocic was included as a training partner for Dan Bobish in Strong Style MMA Training Center, Independence, Ohio. He was starting in mixed martial arts yet did the change to boxing where he was seen pounding fighters with significantly more experience than him given he had just been preparing for a while. He ended up training both sports as he decided to become a pro fighter.
In his professional fighting career, Miocic has been in an aggregate of 21 battles, winning 18 of those sessions and losing 3. Of his 18 wins, 13 of them were by means of knockout, 4 by decision. In August 2019 at UFC 241, Stipe Miocic won back his heavyweight title from Daniel Cormier after four grueling rounds. During the first three rounds, Cormier was getting the best of Stipe by controlling his hands. To cut down on Stipe's reach advantage, Cormier held Stipe's hands in front of him before landing punches. Stipe made a strong adjustment by going to the body every time Cormier tried to reach for his hands. After repeated body shots, Stipe finally got Cormier to wince and finished him off with a barrage of punches.
Miocic got married to Ryan Marie Carney on June 18, 2016. The pair were married in Kirtland, Ohio at the Divine Word Catholic Church. In January of 2018, Miocic reported that they were anticipating a child. On July 24, 2018, Meelah Claire, their girl was born.
