Susan Lucci

Lucci has been featured in many television movies and shows. Lucci had a cameo appearance in the comedy film, “Young Doctors in Love” in 1982.  In 1986, she played the role of Darya Romanoff in the movie “Anastasia: The Mystery of Anna” which went on to win both an Emmy and a Golden Globe. Susan Lucci also starred in a series of guest spots on the night-time soap opera “Dallas”. In the lifetime film “Ebbie” in 1995, the updated version of A Christmas Carol, she played a woman who was a department store owner that was visited by the three ghosts on Christmas. In the comedy series, “Hope & Faith” in 2014, she was a guest star in two episodes.

In “Dancing with the Stars” season 7, Susan Lucci danced with Tony Dovolani. According to the producer of the show she had once asked her to participate in the show but she rejected the offer due to distance as “All My Children” was recorded in New York, and “Dancing with the Stars” was recorded in Los Angeles. She would go on to appear in the show in 2008 finishing 6th in the competition.

Lucci got married on the 13th of September, 1969 to Helmut Huber, an Austrian businessman. Their daughter, Liza Huber, was born on the 22nd of February, 1975, and their son, Andreas Huber, in 1987. Liza is a soap opera actress while Andreas is the Chief Operating Officer of 3TS Capital Partners, and also an aspiring professional golfer. Lucci became a grandmother on the 23rd of December, 2006 when she was 60 years old through her daughter, Liza. The baby was named Royce Alexander. On the 16th of August, 2008 she had her second grandchild named Brendan and her third, Hayden Victoria on the 23rd of March, 2011. Finally, on the 6th of February, 2013 her fourth grandchild Mason Alexander was born.

Lucci is someone who is actively involved in supporting the Little Flowers Children Services in New York. This is a child care agency that helps in the provision of adoption and foster care. She also works with organizations supporting children with Cerebral Palsy. Lucci revealed her passion for charities supporting victims of Cerebral Palsy was due to her grandson Brendan, who was diagnosed with the disease at age two. 

Lucci's autobiography “All My Life: A Memoir”, was acquired by Lisa Sharkey, Director of Creative Development at HarperCollins. On July 28, 2010 HarperCollins announced that the book would be published in April 2011; it was released on March 29th of that year.

Susan Lucci is also an entrepreneur and developed her own line of beauty products and fragrances in 1999, known as the Susan Lucci Collection and La Lucci respectively. Her husband Helmut Huber is her manager and they live in Garden City, New York.
