Outside of All My Children, Lucci has appeared in various television and film projects. She had a cameo in the 1982 comedy Young Doctors in Love and portrayed Darya Romanoff in the 1986 miniseries Anastasia: The Mystery of Anna, which earned both Emmy and Golden Globe awards. She also made guest appearances on popular shows such as Dallas and starred in Ebbie (1995), a modern retelling of A Christmas Carol, where she played a department store owner visited by three Christmas ghosts.
In 2014, Lucci made guest appearances in two episodes of the TV comedy Hope & Faith. She also participated in season 7 of Dancing with the Stars in 2008, partnering with professional dancer Tony Dovolani. Although previously declining participation due to filming conflicts with All My Children, Lucci finally joined the competition and finished in sixth place.
Susan Lucci married Austrian businessman Helmut Huber on September 13, 1969. They have two children: daughter Liza Huber, born February 22, 1975, and son Andreas Huber, born in 1987. Liza followed her mother’s footsteps into soap operas, while Andreas pursued a career in private equity and golf, presently serving as Chief Operating Officer at 3TS Capital Partners.
Lucci became a grandmother in 2006 with the birth of her first grandchild, Royce Alexander. She welcomed three more grandchildren: Brendan in 2008, Hayden Victoria in 2011, and Mason Alexander in 2013. Her grandson Brendan was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at age two, inspiring Lucci to become active in organizations dedicated to helping children with the condition.
Lucci is a committed supporter of Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York, an agency that provides adoption and foster care services. Motivated by personal experiences within her family, she also supports several organizations that assist children and families affected by cerebral palsy.
In addition to acting, Lucci ventured into business with the launch of her own beauty product line, the Susan Lucci Collection, and a fragrance called La Lucci in 1999. She has consistently maintained a strong presence in the beauty and wellness industries.
In 2010, HarperCollins acquired the rights to her autobiography, All My Life: A Memoir. It was released on March 29, 2011, offering an intimate look at her personal and professional journey. The book was overseen by HarperCollins Director of Creative Development, Lisa Sharkey.
Lucci continues to reside in Garden City, New York, with her husband and manager, Helmut Huber. She remains an enduring figure in American entertainment and an advocate for health and humanitarian causes.
