Tamara Tunie

Born on March 14, 1959 to father James W. Tunie and mother Evelyn Hawkins Tunie in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, United States, Tamara Renee Tunie spent most of her childhood days growing up with her three sisters and one brother. Her family used to reside above a funeral parlor owing to the fact that both of her parents were morticians. His father still works as a mortician and continues to take care of the family business. She went on to attend the Carnegie Mellon University situated in Pittsburg and graduated in the year 1981 with a degree in Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. Her interest in acting was ignited at a very young age. After her graduation in the year 1981, she met Billie Allen, who went on to become Tunie’s mentor. She has a great body with a height of 5 feet 9 inches. She was also a participant of the Miss Black Teenage Pageant.

She made her television debut in the year 1986 when she was cast for the role of Nina for one episode of the television show Spenser: For Hire. In the same year, she got her big break when she was cast for the role of Jessica Griffin in the television show As the World Turns for which she was nominated for several awards. She is also popular for the recurring role of Dr. Melinda Warmer in the 2000 television show Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Tamara works as a regular cast member of the show since 2005. She made her film debut in the year 1987 with the movie Sweet Lorraine where she portrayed the role of Julie. She is popular for the role of Margaret Thomason in the 2012 movie Flight. She has done several movies in her career which include Wall Street as Carolyn in 1987, Rising Sun as Lauren Smith in 1993, Quentin Carr as a detective in 1996, City Hall as Leslie Christos in 1996, The Peacemaker as Jody in 1997, The Caveman’s Valentine as Sheila in 2001, Missed Connections as Felicity Gray in 2012 and Fall to Rise as Annika in 2014.

She also produced and directed a movie in the year 2010 titled See You in September. According to her bio, she is currently married to Gregory Generet. She was previously married to Greg Bouquett, but the marriage ended in a divorce in the year 1991. According to her biography, her salary is pretty high with a net worth of $8 Million Dollars.
