Timothy Thomas Bresnan, commonly known as Tim Bresnan, was born on February 28, 1985. He is a former English cricketer renowned for his contributions as an all-rounder. Bresnan was born to Ray and Julie Bresnan and was raised in Castleford, West Yorkshire. He attended Castleford High School Technology and Sports College, followed by NEW College, Pontefract. He began playing cricket at a young age with Townville Cricket Club, laying the foundation for his professional career. Bresnan credits the support of his family, particularly his parents and siblings, as pivotal to his development in cricket. He is married to Hannah Battye, and their relationship began during his time playing within the Yorkshire cricket setup.
Tim Bresnan made his first-class maiden century in April 2007 during the County Championship, surpassing his previous highest score of 94. Known for his reliability as a right-handed batsman and right-arm fast-medium bowler, Bresnan proved to be a strong asset at both domestic and international levels.
Bresnan's international career began with his One Day International (ODI) debut for England against Sri Lanka on June 17, 2006. He made his Test debut on May 6, 2009, against the West Indies. Throughout his career, he was involved in several significant matches, including against Sri Lanka (2006), West Indies (2009), South Africa (2009), Bangladesh (2010), and in the victorious 2010 ICC World Twenty20. He also played in the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup and the Ashes series in 2010–11 and 2013–14. In terms of bowling, he delivered 4,674 balls in Test cricket and 4,221 in ODIs. Bresnan's final Test appearance came on December 26, 2013, against Australia, and he played his last ODI on May 8, 2015, against Ireland.
