Timothy Thomas Bresnan commonly known as Tim Bresnan, born in February 28th 1985 is a well known English cricketer. His parents are Ray and Julie Bresnan. Tim had attended Castleford High School Technology and Sports College, later NEW College, Pontefract. He started playing cricket from a very early age at Townville Cricket Club which added a lot to his starring biography. Tim’s parents and his brothers had added a lot to his career. Tim is married to Hannah Battye. His married life started after he started playing cricket within the Yorkshire set up.

Career

Tim made his first-class maiden century in April 2007 at the country championship beating his own previous highest record of 94. In his career, he has played a number of excellent matches including a number of International matches. The remarkable International matches include his matches in 2006 against Sri Lanka, in 2009 against West Indies, in 2009 against south Africa, in  2010 against Bangladesh, 2010 Twenty20 World Cup , in 2010-11 against Australia, 2011 World Cup , 2011match against India, 2011-12 match against Pakistan and Sri Lanka, 2012 match against West Indies and south Africa, 2012-13match against India, 2013 new Zealand and ICC Champions Trophy,  2013 and 2013-14 against Australia, 2014 west indies and T20 World Cup. He is a right-hand batsman and his bowling style is of right-arm fast medium.

In the field he is an all-rounder. He played his test debut match on 6th may 2009 against West Indies. Bresnan made his ODI debut on 17th June 2006 against team Sri Lanka. In his test career, he had scored 3 50s and a single 50 in his ODI career. The top score in his test history is of a 91 and he scored a 80 which was his top score in an ODI match.

His test batting average is of a 26.13 and ODI batting average is of 19.79. he has played 23 test matches and 85 ODI matches .His total runs scored in all the test matches in his career is 575 and his total runs scored in ODI is 871. He has bowled 4,674 balls in his test career and 4,221 balls in his ODI career. He played his last test match on 26th December 2013 against Australia and his last ODI match on 8th may 2015 against Ireland.

Achievements

In the 2nd test – West Indies in England test series in 2012 his excellent performance made his team win by 9 wickets. In the 2010 ICC World Twenty20 22nd match ( England vs new Zealand) in 2010 his contribution made England win by 3 wickets and in the England vs Pakistan match that held in England in 2010 his performance made his team win by 6 wickets.

He has a million of followers in his Instagram (@timstagram20) that proves him to be really popular man among his fans. Recently, Bresnan has faced an injury which the doctors say that he has been detected with a torn lower calf and is expected to miss the first four games of the country championship.
