Tim Webster is one of the popular Australian journalist and as well a television icon who has been serving the media industry since long years. He has also been a part of radio station who has presented quite many shows till date. Tim was born in the year 1951, 15^th December. Tim has been the present fill-in host of Ten News.

Personal Life

Tim suffered out of tumour encountered in the oesophagus. He was continuously reported with bad health and other severe illness. Once after the diagnosis, Tim underwent a surgery while the tumour from the oesophagus was removed. Later after the surgery, there was a bad mess in the lung being collapsed while Tim found it really hard to take breathe. He was immediately taken to the Sydney Adventist Hospital for treatment again. That was the moment, where Tim thought that he would die without any chance. He found it real hard to breathe and at a point he couldn’t breathe at all that made everyone very scary and threatening. When entering the hospital, Tim was in a very bad physical condition however the doctors tried to make him calm but he wasn’t sedated though. The doctors kept him in observation and made an operation in the lungs. Finally the trouble was resolved.

Career

Tim was originally from Sydney, where he served as a DJ at 2BS radio station during the year 1973 at Sydney. In the year 1974, he was a part of 2SM where Tim appeared as a radio presenter. This was the time were Tim scored incredible recognition and fame amidst the public all over the world. Besides this, Tim was also a part of the best Sydney 2MMMFM team during the year 1980. Tim grabbed a permanent seat at 2DAYFM later after a year and he survived there till late 80’s.

Tim has been the newscaster for the Perth Edition at Ten News of Five and also he served as the sports anchor at the Sydney edition in a program. You can also find Tim occasionally as a fill-in host of Ten Late News and also he was a substitute of Sydney’s Ten News at Five and Sports Tonight. During the year 1980, Tim hosted TEN – 10 Eyewitness News at Sydney sharing the screen with Katrina Lee. These duos were much comfortable on-screen and they enjoyed considerable success in every succeeding timeslot.

During the year 1992, in the month of January 20, Tim appeared for the Australia’s first weeknight newscast, where he got an opportunity to have a reunion with Katrina Lee where they presented TEN – 10 Eyewitness News First at Five. Tim has so far covered many interesting and challenging coverage for Network Ten and some of the best coverage will include the Melbourne Cup, Commonwealth Games, Olympic games, Australasian Golf Tour. During the year 1993 to 2004, Tim served as the sports presenter featuring Sports Tonight program. During the year 2011, Tim served as the co-presenter along with Sandra Sully featuring the Ten Evening News program.
