Marriage to Delores Martes and Family Life

Tito Jackson met Delores "Dee Dee" Martes when he was 17 years old, and the two married in June 1972 when Tito was 18. Due to their young age and the pressures of fame, the marriage experienced significant challenges. Tito's rising popularity and commitments to his music career contributed to strain in their relationship.

Their first son, Tariano Jackson—later known by his stage name Taj Jackson—was born in 1973 when Tito was 19. In 1975, they welcomed their second son, Taryll Jackson. Continued rumors of Tito's alleged extramarital involvement with female celebrities and ongoing public scrutiny placed further stress on the marriage. In 1978, their third son, Tito Joe Jackson—now known professionally as TJ Jackson—was born. All three sons would later form the musical group 3T.

Divorce and Tragedy

Despite persistent rumors and media speculation about their relationship, the couple did not immediately separate. As Tito's musical career gradually slowed during the 1980s, media attention on their personal lives also waned, providing the couple some respite. However, they ultimately divorced in 1992 after two decades of marriage.

Tragically, in 1994, Delores Martes was found dead. Her death was later ruled a homicide. Following her passing, their sons continued to pursue music, performing both independently as 3T and in collaborations with their uncle, Michael Jackson.

Later Years and Personal Life

After laying relatively low during the 1990s, Tito Jackson made occasional appearances alongside his sons and other Jackson family members. In 2007, he was rumored to be in a relationship with Iranian-born actress and model Claudia Lynx. Known for international modelling and appearances in film and television, Claudia had previously been romantically linked to actor Koji Zadori and businessman Kamran Jafari.

The relationship between Tito and Claudia reportedly lasted until 2010. Claudia has publicly addressed topics related to sexual orientation, clarifying that she does not identify as exclusively straight but has also stated that her past relationships include individuals of various genders.

Children and Grandchildren

Tito Jackson’s three sons—Taj, Taryll, and TJ—are all musicians and have gained recognition as the pop/R&B group 3T. In addition to their music careers, they have performed with members of the Jackson family, keeping their father’s and uncle’s musical legacy alive. Tito is a grandfather to five grandchildren through his three sons.
