Travis Lane Stork was born on March 9, 1972 in Fort Collins, Colorado, USA. His parents were the farmers of Midwest - Donna Stork and Roger Stork. They were very proud of their son. He took an oath to be a doctor. A very first doctor in their family. Travis Lane Stork graduated magna cum laude as a member of Phi Beta Kappa Society from Duke University, and earned his medical degree with honors from the University of Virginia, where he was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha. [The Emmy-nominated host is a magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha graduate of Duke and the U. of Virginia, but his TV break came when the easy-on-the-eyes doc was approached by a casting director to join ABC’s “The Bachelor.” After that, Stork began appearing regularly on “Dr. Phil,” and was ultimately tapped by Jay McGraw as he was creating “The Doctors.”
“What I try to do on the show is teach and share with people all of the little things they can do to improve their health,” says Stork, who lives in Colorado and practices what he preaches, riding his bike to work and hiking, mountain biking and skiing in his limited free time. “I think our show has really empowered people. Viewers tell me they feel more knowledgeable and more excited about their health rather than intimidated or even terrified.] He thereafter began an emergency medicine residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He gained great results working in private hospitals in Tennessee and Colorado. He showed himself as a talented doctor, gained the respect of his supervisors and patiens.
The success was great. Thence, Dr. Stork got an idea to help people through the trelevision. He chose three physicians from different branches of medicine, but still birds of one feather. They appeared in the show The Doctors. Their advice were regarding pediatrics, plastic surgery and obstetrics. Dr. Trevis was also preocupied with children and adult obesity. He gave tips how to loose weight and belly. Due to this he wrote a book The Lean Belly Prescription. He was nominated as co-host of the award winning talk show in “The Doctors”. Actually, he published several book dedicated to healthy lifestyle, including The Doctor's Diet, and the book mentioned above. Both of them were bestsellers. New Your Times published the list of bestellers in the category "Advise, How to & Miscellaneous".
In 2013 he joined MDLIVE - telehealth company on the position of chairman of its Medical Advisory Board. Stork was the lead host on The Doctors, a Los Angeles-based daytime medical/talk show, beginning with its debut in September 2008 and continuing through its renewal in 2014 for the 2015-2016 season. On the show, Stork led a panel of three other physicians from different fields (pediatrics, plastic surgery and obstetrics) who discussed health issues and answered audience questions. The idea came about from a series of segments that were featured on Dr. Phil, to which Stork was also a frequent contributor.
During his residency, Stork appeared on Season 8 of The Bachelor. During the season finale of the show, Stork chose schoolteacher Sarah Stone, who coincidentally lived only a few blocks away from his Nashville residence. However, only one week after the show's pre-taped finale aired, the couple announced that their relationship was already over. He completed his residency, then practiced medicine in the emergency room at Vanderbilt and a hospital in Colorado.
He also became very popular when he took part in several shows, among them: The Bachelor - reality dating show, talk show The Doctors and Three Rivers - the medical drama. The show won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Talk Show Informative in 2010.
Travis Lane Stork found the apple of his eye - wife Dr. Charlotte Brown. They got married on June 30, 2012. The wedding was exquisit. In Colorado Mountains, the marriage vows were said among family and freinds. After that newlyweds left Colorado for Hawaii to spend there the honeymoon. The happiness was not long, however.
In October 2013, Stork joined telehealth company MDLIVE as chairman of its Medical Advisory Board. As of March 2015, he was no longer affiliated with the company.
