Early Life and Family Background
Willie Robertson was born in 1972 at Tri-Ward General Hospital in Bernice, located in Union Parish, North Louisiana. He is the third of four sons born to Phil and Kay Robertson. His older brothers are Alan and Jase, and his younger brother is Jep. Growing up in a close-knit family, Willie developed a strong interest in outdoor activities, particularly hunting. He also became actively involved in Duck Commander, the small family business his father founded, helping with everything from fieldwork to taking business calls and assembling duck calls.

Willie attended Harding University before graduating from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a degree in business. His education provided him with the knowledge and skills to transform Duck Commander from a modest family venture into a highly successful enterprise. In recognition of their achievements, both Willie and his wife Korie were named Outstanding Young Alumni by Harding University.
Willie married Korie Howard in 1992. Korie, the daughter of Chrys and John Howard, is also prominently featured on Duck Dynasty. The couple resides in West Monroe, Louisiana, and are proud parents to six children: Rebecca, John Luke, Sadie, Will, Bella, and Rowdy.
