Stephen Drew was born on March the 16th of 1983. Native from Hahira, Georgia in the United States of America. He is a professional baseball player. Education

He grew up in the city of Valdosta in Georgia. There he attended a public school, the Lowndes High School. The school had it very own baseball team. After finishing his studies there, he enrolled at the The Florida State University. He did so as to follow his older brother J.D’s footsteps. During his years at college he played for the Florida State Seminoles baseball team.

First Years

He started in Minor Leagues in 2004 when he was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks and had to move to Phoenix in Arizona. Two years later he joined the Lancaster JetHawks of the California League. While in there he batted. He then was promoted to two other teams: he Tennessee Smokies from Knoxville in Tennessee and the The Tucson Toros from Tucson in Arizona.

He made his debut on the league on July the 15th in a game against the the Milwaukee Brewers. In a game against the Los Angeles Dodgers he scored his first major league hit. After a disappointing season in 2007, the year that followed he became the first player to hit for the cycle at Chase Field. That was in a game against the St. Louis Cardinals. He then tied, the year that followed, with Stephen Oris Drew for second most in the National League. He became the sixth Arizona Diamondback to inside-the-park home run in 2010. He missed the first games of the following season because of abdominal pains. Then in 2012 he suffered an injury that had him out of the field for eleven months. That same year he was traded to the The Oakland Athletics. He obtained a $1.35 million buyout. Thanks to the team declining an offer from the Arizona Diamondbacks, he became a free agent.

Career

He signed a $9.5 million contract with the Boston Red Sox in 2012. This arrangement was for a year. The following year he won the World Series alongside Michael Anthony Napoli. That same year he declined a $14.1 million offer from the Boston Red Sox for the next season. He became a free agent that way. Two years later, he was traded to the New York Yankees. In 2014 he had become the free agent only to later sign with the New York Yankees again a year later. In a game against the The Tampa Bay Rays he hitted his one hundred career home run. Then in the month of July of that same year with a home run he recorded his one thousand career hit in a game of the The Washington Nationals. Now a days his salary is 3 million USD. Family Life

He is married with his wife Laura Drew and they have two kids together, Hank and Nolan. They celebrated their wedding in 2005.
