Alexander Ludwig was born in 7th May 1992 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He is currently living in Los Angeles California, United States. He has three younger siblings named Nicholas and Natalie who are twins and younger sister Sophia. His father is a businessman but also the chairman of Lions gate Entertainment while his mothers was an actress. Although he wanted to start acting at early age his parents did not believe in child actors since they are easily drawn into life that is not real.

He started his career at tender age of 9 years when he was featured in Harry Potter to commercial which resulted to him signing with an agent who enabled him get more commercial acting jobs. In 2000 is was in movies “Air Bud World pup”, 2003 Most Extreme primate, 2005 Scary Godmother the revenge Jimmy and Eve and the fire horse on the same year, 2007 Sandlot Heading home. In television he has performed in number of shows including; a little thing called murder in 2006 and the seeker; the dark is rising in 2007. Ludwig also had a lead role in Race to witch Mountain in 2009 a movie which was very successful in the box office.
