Alexandra Shipp is an American actress, singer, and songwriter born on July 16, 1991, in Phoenix, Arizona. Her mother was a Kundalini yoga instructor, and her father was a musician, creating an artistic and spiritually-inclined household. She grew up with two brothers, James and Jordan, as well as a stepsister named Kasia.
Shipp attended Squaw Peak Elementary School and later enrolled at the Arizona School for the Arts, where she nurtured her interest in performing.
