Amanda Crew is a Canadian actress who was born on June 5, 1986, in Langley City, Canada. She was born to a mother who worked as a legal secretary and a father who worked in telecommunications. Crew began her acting career early when she was cast in the musical "Dragon Tales" in grade five. She was soon picked up by talent-agency and began appearing in commercials. Crew moved to New York City to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts where she studied acting. She made her television debut in 2005 when she was just 19 as Polly Brewer in the ABC television drama "Life as We Know It". Soon after, Crew was cast in an episode of the CW television series "Smallville".
She went on to appear in the YTV television series "15/Love" with Meaghan Rath and the CTV series "Whistler" which earned her a Leo Award. Crew's film debut came in 2006 when she was cast as Julie Christensen in the horror film "Final Destination 3" which became the largest grossing film of her career. In 2008, Crew was cast as the lead character in the road comedy "Sex Drive" with James Marsden and Seth Green. She married Canadian actor Ethan Ward from the series "90210" in 2010.
