Amber’s husband, Sam was born in the year 1977 in Perrysburg. The small town of Perrysburg is located in the mid-east state of Ohio. Sam was always very into acting and wanted to start an acting career as soon as possible but he was too young. He started to act when he was only 13 years old but did not have much success because he wasn’t ready. After his high school graduation, he tried many different jobs which made it easy for him to meet new people and make connections

He was the youngest of four children who had decided to test his ability in Hollywood and he decided that he had to really dedicate time to his craft so that he could end up being a star in full length movies. After sometime, his acting became impressive and he got a great role in the hit movie called Traffic in the year 2000.  He was also included in the cast of the army movie called Behind Enemy Lines.

After his great start, he got a role in the critically acclaimed films Blood World and Hart’s War. Even though the films got good reviews, they were box office failures that suffered from bad marketing. Hart’s War became a box office bomb but Sam feels that future audiences should still give the film a chance. His role in the film was praised since he lived up to the demands of the storyline that was based in World War II. He was also a star in the popular legal drama TV show called Law and Order and had a small role in the film, Brave New Jersey.

Teaming Up With Her Hubby

Sam and Amber were delighted to work in the same film together when they made Take Me Home. Script Mag asked Sam where he got the idea for the plot of the movie, “Two things brought the idea about. One, I drove across country from New York to L.A., when I moved out here. At the time, Amber and I were dating and we needed to find a new place to live in New York. It was before you could go on Craigslist and find an apartment easily. It literally took me five months of picking up the Village Voice to look for our last place, so the prospect of moving again in New York was just unbearable. Then, my friend, Mike Hobert, who was a producer on Take Me Home called from L.A. and said, “I’m standing on a balcony, and I jumped into a pool today, and we have this spot and you can come out and stay with us if you want.” We packed up a Ryder truck and moved out West. Growing up in Ohio, we never flew anywhere.

Family Life

The couple have two children together. One is from a past relationship of Amber and the younger son is the one they gave had together in 2010. They are happy together and they have a strong bond which means that there is no signs of divorce or nasty rumors surrounding their marriage.
