Amy Klobuchar is known as an American lawyer and politician who is the senior United States Senator from Minnesota. She was elected in 2006. She is also a member of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, Minnesota's affiliate of the Democratic Party.

Amy Jean Klobuchar was born on May 25, 1960 in Plymouth, MN. She attended the public schools in her hometown of Plymouth. For her college education, she graduated magna cum laude from Yale University in 1982. She was proud to receive a degree from a highly praised college but she didn’t want to stop there. She went on to get her J.D. from the University of Chicago in 1985.
Career
Amy practiced law in Minnesota when she became partner at the law firms of Dorsey & Whitney and Gray Plant Mooty, She was the Hennepin County attorney in a period from 1999 to 2006. She was then elected as a Democrat to the United States Senate in 2006 for the term that started on January 3, 2007. She did great in her position and was reelected by her state in 2012. She was also brought back again in 2018 for a term that will finish up on January 3, 2025.
