André Roberson biography
André Roberson is an American professional basketball player who is currently under contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder. André Lee Roberson was born on December 4, 1991, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. André Roberson attended Karen Wagner High School, near San Antonio, Texas, and was considered a three star recruit by ESPN after being listed as the number sixty two power forward in the nation. Roberson attended the University of Colorado for three years, where he played for the Buffaloes under coach Tad Boyle. Roberson was one of the nation’s top rebounders, finishing third in the country in 2011 and second in 2012. After his junior year at Colorado, Roberson was named first-team All-Pac-12 and the conference Defensive Player of the year; he then declared his eligibility for the 2013 NBA draft. Roberson was picked twenty sixth overall in the draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves but was acquired later that night by the Oklahoma City Thunder.
On July 14, 2017, Roberson re-signed with the Thunder to a three-year, thirty million dollar contract. Roberson ruptured his left patellar tendon in January of 2018; he underwent surgery and was ruled out for the rest of the season. Roberson suffered a setback in his physical rehabilitation in October of 2018, and again in November of 2018 that has made him unable to perform.
