Career

Anna began her career as an actor when she was 6 years old. She took classes in a drama school. Her first appearance on television was in a TV adaptation of a famous novel by Daphne du Maurier titled Frenchman's Creek. Since then Anna has done quite a few movies and TV shows. The first time she appeared in a movie was Patricia Rozema's Mansfield Park in which she played a role of Betsey. She was not a main figure of the film for a while before her big break. But before starring in a lead role, she had a couple of supporting ones in movies like The Little Vampire and Peter Webber's Girl with a Pearl Earring where she joined the cast of such high-profile actors like Scarlett Johansson. The movie had a budget of 10 million dollars and made over 31 million at the Box Office.

Popplewell's got her big break when she was cast Susan Pevensie for The Chronicles of Narnia, movies that were based on an incredibly successful children books written by C. S. Lewis. There were 3 movies about the world of Narnia in total and Anna had lead roles in two of them and a small cameo in the third one. These movies were a huge Box Office success money-wise making hundreds of millions of dollars worldwide and were responsible for the career Anna Popplewell has today.

After finishing with Narnia films, the actress starred in Danny Donelly's Payback Season as Izzy Jacobs on 2012 and she was also a part of 2015's Freak of Nurture in which she played Nurse Bethany Lane.

The actress also had some small roles in various television series but she was the main character in Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, science fiction series based on a famous video game.

During her career, Anna also did a lot of theater work which was mostly drama and comedy.

Awards and nominations

Popplewell was nominated in various categories for her role in Narnia movies. She won Cuppers Prize for Best Supporting Actress and two Character and Morality in Entertainment Awards for her portrayal of Susan Pevensie.

Personal life and trivia

There is not a lot of information about her biography but it is known that her height is about 5 feet and 3 and a half inches. According to various sources, the actress does not have a boyfriend at the moment and is not looking to date anyone anytime soon.

After her huge success in Narnia films, the actress seems to be gone in recent times. The reasons for this are unknown but she has a lot of fans and they really cannot wait to see her in action again.
