Bret Baier

Baier was born on 4 August 1970 in New Jersey. He works as the host of “Special Report with Bret Baier" which is telecast on the FOX News Channel. This is number one news program on cable television and is said to have three million viewers each night. This show ranks in the top five programs on cable news. Before working in this role, Baier worked as the White House correspondent, here he reported on the presidential activities, this was both on international and national levels from the year 2006 till 2009.

Before working as the White House correspondent, He served as the National Security communicator was here, he reported about the national security issues and military affairs. He also reported on the defense matters, military policies and intelligence matters. This was from The Pentagon between the years 2001 till 2006. He has even reported from Saudi countries including Iraq, which was 12 times and from Afghanistan which was 13 times. Baier has toured the world with many military and administration officials and has reported in from 74 different countries.

Recently, he was a co-anchor on the coverage of election night along with Megyn Kelly which was called Fox News 2012, on this evening close to 12 million viewers watched this show, and this made a record by standing second amongst all the shows broadcast on cable networks. He also extensively covered the 2012 Presidential campaign; he took his show to nine different states, and anchored the Presidential debate thrice and Vice Presidential debate once He also moderated for five debates.

All through his career, he has hosted a lot of interviews, and they were with the government officials. He also had an interview with Obama during the week before the health care vote; it was with the House of Representatives in 2010 March. Peggy Noonan, who is a Wall Street columnist, said that it was, “The most significant and revealing interview broadcasted about Barack Obama”.  Baier has also interviewed George W. Bush, Donald Rumsfeld, who was the Secretary of Defense and Dick Cheney who was the Vice President. He has even interviewed world leaders like Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of the Israel and Lech Kaczynski, who was the in Polish President. He has also interviewed General David Petraeus.

Baier has also appeared in some political especially which came on the Fox News Channel; this included the unique coverage on Benghazi attack, the significant events of 2010, cities that declared bankruptcy, the bank bailout, a housing crisis, green jobs.

Bret is a Roman Catholic and goes to the Trinity Church in Georgetown.

He has two sons, and his wife’s name is Amy. The name of his children is Paul and Daniel. Paul was born with defects in his heart. Before he had a heart surgery, Bret was invited with his wife and son by the President, George Bush. They were invited to visit the President and the physician from The White House updated them on the progress of Paul.

Baier has completed his Bachelor’s degree in political science from The DePauw University; this is in Political Science and English.
