Chi McBride

Chi McBride or Kenneth Chi McBride was born in the year 1961. He is an American actor and he starred in Boston Public series as Steven Harper, a high School Principal. In Pushing Daisies, he played as Emerson Cod and in Human target; he played as Detective Laverne Winston.  The latest role he had is on the CBS Drama called Golden Boy where he plays as Detective Don Owen. He has now the main role of playing Five-O officer Lou Grover in the CBS Drama called Hawaii Five-O.  He has appeared in different movies which are Draft Day, Robot, The Terminal, and Gone in 60 Seconds and I.

By reading his biography, Chi McBride was born in Chicago and this is where the Nickname Chi comes from. He was raised by his family in the religion of Seventh Day and went to Shiloh Academy which is known as Chicago SDA Academy and it is a Seventh Day Adventist school. He graduated at the age of 16 in high school and he had plans of pursuing the career in the music. He learnt different instruments and he sung in the gospel choirs in Chicago before he moved in Atlanta in the year 1986. He worked as a billing clerk at AT&T.

His success in show business started when he has a hit song  called He’s The Champ and it parodied the marriage of the boxer Mike Tyson when he was marrying actress Robin Givens. Since the song was successful, he was invited to sign for Esquire Records and there he joined the rhythm and the Blues Band covert. When he was convinced to try the hand to the camera, he moved and went to Los Angeles where he got the acting job in the In Living Color of Fox and in The Fresh Prince of Bel Air of NBC. He featured also in the TV movie called Revenge of The Nerds III: the Next Generation.

In the year 1998, he was the co-star of Mercury Rising together with Bruce Willis. Afterwards, he played in different tv shows like Pushing Daisies, Killer Instinct, The Secret Diary of Desmond Pfeiffer, House, The John Larroquette Show and Boston Public.  Chi McBride is married and his wife is Julissa. They have a son together but Chi has already other children.  He has a net worth estimated to be over 10 million dollars.

In Human Target, he is playing in the role of Winston, who is a business partner for Christopher Chance, a protagonist. The show started to show in 2010 at Fox Broadcasting Company. He appeared together with Celebrity Ghost Stories where he was depicting about the incident that took place in the year 1988, before he started to act. This is when he was led subconsciously to Lorraine Motel and stopped in Memphis and had a vision of the assassination of Martin Luther King.
