China Anne McClain was born on August 25, 1998 in Atlanta, Georgia. She has two older sisters: Sierra and Lauryn McClain. All of three girls were taking dancing and acting classes since they remember themselves walking! No wonder all of them enjoy this lifestyle equally, because they were born in the artistic family. Michael McClain, a girl’s father, is a music producer and Shontell, girl’s mother, is a songwriter.

China was first noticed in 2005 by music executive, who offered the film director to audition her for his film “The Gospel”. The talented girl got a role of Alexis in that film. In 2006 she appeared in “Medea’s family reunion” in the role of Tamara. The same year she was noticed by the TV talent agent Tyler Perry, who offered her to play in the TV series “Tyler Perry’s House of Paine” (2007 -2012). China gained more and more popularity, as she appeared in films “A Dennis in the Menace Christmas” (2007) “Daddy’s Little Girls” (2007), “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” (2008), and “Six Blocks Wide” (2008). In 2009 her popularity within children of pre-school and elementary school age increased dramatically as she appeared in the series of “Hanna Montana”. The fans of detective series were excited to see her in the NCIS episode. The same year she first voiced Janet in the “Jack and Janet Save the Planet”. In 2010 she acted in teenage soap operas “Grown Ups” as Charlotte McKenzie, in “Hurricane Season” as Alana Collins and in episodic role in “Jonas”.

However, her real breakthrough happened in 2011. Not only she starred in “Wizards of Waverly Place” and long-lasting “A.N.T. Farm” (2011-2014), but also released her first album, named after this soap opera on October 11. Her song “Dynamite” placed 29th position on Billboard 200, while her track “Calling All the Monsters” placed 89th position on Billboard Hot 100. In 2012 she, as the part of the McClain band, recorded an album along with Hollywood records called “Disney Channel Holiday Playlists”. The McClain’s next and so far, the last studio album was “Shake It Up”.

In 2012 China was playing Tisha Mc’Stuffins in “Doc McStuffins” TV series. In 2013 she was featured in a teenage film “Grown Ups 2”. In 2014 China was noticed in “Sing Your Face Off”, “R.L Stine’s The Hunting Hour: The Series”, and in the “How to Build a Better Boy”. The following year she participated in “Bones”, “Veggie Tales in the House”, and lastly, she featured Freddie in “Descendants: Wicked World”. In 2016 she voiced Bilal in “Ghufaria”, played Lyra in “Sheep and Wolves” and Lauren in “The Night Shift”.

Despite her early years, China McClain comes across as a very productive actress and musician. She calls herself a devoted Christian, even though she and her family members don’t always have enough time to attend religious services due to their busy schedule. And as her fans wait for the film “Descendants 2”, which is going to be presented in 2017, they sincerely wish her success in her future acting and musical projects.
