Christopher is also known as “Kid” for he performed, along with Christopher Martin, as MC under the name Kid Coolout for the 1980's hip-hop duo named Kid 'n Play. The duo released an album, “2 Hype”, in 1988. Their second album, “Kid ‘n Play’s Funhouse”, was released in 1990, reached the 58th position on the Billboard list of top one hundred songs of the year and remained hugely popular for the following two years. The duo’s third album, “Face the Nation”, was released in 1991.

As a member of the duo, Christopher came to be recognized for his exaggerated hi-top, geometrically perfect, fade haircut. It was during this time, when Kid ‘n Play where at the height of their popularity, that Christopher began his acting career. Christopher’s appearance, as Kid, in the 1990 American comedy film, “House Party”, was his theatrical debut.  “House Party” was released by New Line Cinema and has since become a cult classic. “House Party 2”, the sequel to the film, was released in 1991, again by New Line Cinema, and saw Christopher, along with most of the cast, return to his original role. This film was dedicated to the memory of Robin Harris, who played the character Pops in the first film.

Christopher Reid is considered to be a notable comedian that always has a smile on his face. Although he is known as an actor and a rapper this American hip-hop is said to be quite hardworking. Christopher has worked as a librarian, a free-lance journalist and also as a tutor.

Christopher Reid married Kimberly Turner in 2004 and the couple has three children; namely Christina Reid (20), Cameron Reid (21), and Cailin Reid (19). Reportedly, the couple leads a blissful married life and Christopher is very happy with his wife and children.

Reid has also appeared in a number of television programs such as “Sister, Sister” and “Martin” and has even hosted a few shows such as “It's Showtime at the Apollo” and “Your Big Break”. His other movies include, “House Party 3”, “Class Act”, “Martin”, “War of the Worlds 2: The Next Wave”, “The Temptations “, “Barbershop: The Series”, “Hell’s Kitchen”, “Black Dynamite: The Animated Series”, and so on. Although Reid started his career as a hip-hop star, his movies are very much appreciated by his fans.

Christopher Reid has been asked to appear on many different entertainment talk shows such as Celebrakadabra, Black in the 80s, etc. Christopher was arrested once in July 2010 in Los Angeles, and was charged with driving under the influence.  Christopher behaved as a good and responsible person, took accountability for his actions, did not appeal against it, and was sentenced to probation.
