Cindy Day was born March 20, 1967 in Bainsville, Ontario. She studied meteorology at McGill University and Lakehead University. For years she was a Canadian meteorologist on CTV Atlantic's News at 5, News at 6, and Late News @ 11:30 after replacing Peter Coade. She is best known for her comprehensive on-camera forecasts and has nearly 30 years of on and off-camera experience. She worked with Allan Rowe at Global Maritimes in the 1990s. She announced that she was leaving CTV Atlantic News in December of 2017 and started with SaltWire network in January of 2018. She has written one book, "Grandma Says- Weather Lore by Cindy Day". More than 64,000 copies have been sold worldwide.
