In December 2017, Cindy Day announced her departure from CTV Atlantic News. The following month, in January 2018, she joined the SaltWire Network as a weather specialist, continuing her commitment to delivering accurate and localized weather information to Atlantic Canadians.
Beyond her broadcasting work, Day is also a published author. Her book, "Grandma Says: Weather Lore by Cindy Day", explores traditional weather sayings and the folklore behind them. The book has enjoyed commercial success, with over 64,000 copies sold worldwide. This publication reflects Day's passion for blending science with storytelling to make meteorology more accessible and engaging to the public.
