Danielle Harris was born on June 1, 1977, in Queens, New York. She is of Jewish heritage and has one sister named Ashley. The two sisters were raised by their mother, who relocated to Florida for work during Danielle’s early years. Even as a child, Harris showed strong interest in acting and modeling. During her time in elementary school, she participated in—and won—a beauty contest, earning a 10-day trip to New York City. During that trip, she was offered several modeling opportunities. However, since her family was still based in Florida at the time, she initially had to decline those offers. Fortunately, her mother's job soon required a move back to New York, where Harris was able to begin her modeling and subsequently acting career.

Personal Life

Danielle Harris married David Gross—not David Cross—in January 2014, after becoming engaged in 2013. The couple maintains a private yet publicly perceived happy married life. As of now, they do not have any children.

Career Beginnings and Commercial Work

After winning a beauty contest as a child, Harris landed her first modeling assignments and quickly transitioned to television commercials. Her early exposure to the entertainment world laid the foundation for a long-standing career spanning both TV and film.

Notably, she appeared in the CBS sitcom pilot 1775 and the television film Roseanne: An Unauthorized Biography. In 1994, Harris made a guest appearance in an episode of the police drama The Commish.
